Major roads in Mpumalanga are being handed over to SANRAL

It was Gazetted that some very important roads are going to be classified as national roads, meaning we will enjoy the same quality roads as our national roads. Starting from the western side, From      Middelburg to Stofberg, Stofberg to Belfast, Belfast to Dullstroom and Lydenburg and onwards to the      Pilgrim’s Rest Road intersection.  All roads leading to Machadodorp. The R40 from White River to     Nelspruit, Plaston Road and Karino to Paston Road. The Geotrail road from Bulembu Border at eSwatini all the way to Barberton and onwards via Low’s Creek to Kaapmuiden. Smaller sections include the small piece of road from Hazyview onto the R538 to the R40 intersection, the small piece from R533 to Bushbuckridge, the main roads around the Crossing Centre in Nelspruit and finally the R571 from Komatipoort to the Marloth Park intersection. This includes some main roads in White River, Hazyview and Lydenburg as well. All of this after 8 years of lobbying and endless committee meetings
