Volunteer your time to be a Tourism Ambassador

Dear Members,

We need your assistance to help SATSA build a network of Tourism Ambassadors

A friendly face and helping hand to assist tourists in their time of need, particularly those who have been a victim of a crime or involved in an accident.

It is our hope that we can enlist volunteers across the country who will step into assist in this capacity. Importantly, the role would not require you to be a qualified trauma counsellor or provide that level of counselling support. Rather, Tourism Ambassadors will meet the affected tourist, either where they are being medically treated or at their accommodation, to provide basic support such as clothes, toothbrushes, etc., and an ear, depending on the situation.

The finer details of the Tourism Ambassador programme have yet to be defined, but if you are willing to be included in the team that comforts travellers who are affected, please do express your interest in this survey.

We undertake to keep your information confidential and will be in touch directly to ascertain the extent to which you wish to be involved so that together we can provide the necessary support to guests who are affected.
