Official 24hour line for Mbombela 086 162 6623

UPDATE:

Early in 2022 we established a whatsapp line to report noise complaints. This was a temporary measure to assist the City of Mbombela to create a channel for this without the public having to call the fire brigade’s emergency number.

Meanwhile the City has established a 24 hour line for all complaints, noise, water leaks, electricity problems, etc. The official call centre number is 086 162 6623. This number is monitored and recorded as it is a dedicated call centre. The official number for fire and rescue emergencies is also manned 24 hours and should be called in case of emergency only, (013) 753 3331.

Our number was only in use to give time to implement the call centre facilities at the Municipality. For this reason, the KLCBT’s number is no longer in use for this purpose. Our number is now being used for tourism emergencies only.

KLCBT established a whatsapp line to report issues regarding noise complaints.
If you have reported it, send your OB number to the line, if you do not get through or have a bad experience with the call centre of City of Mbombela, send a message.
Send us your location pin where you can hear the noise with a date and time stamp.
This will help us to compile a picture of where it originates and if they are repeat offenders.
Security companies are requested to report in the same way, this will be formally requested next week.
Use the same method to address noise and other issues with student houses.
We had meetings with the liquor board to assess the exact process and compiling evidence to address the noise issue. We will be meeting with the police commissioner on Monday to ensure we are all on the same page to address this. We will also be meeting with the District Health department next week to set up a complete team of enforcers who all know exactly what is expected from each of them.
