SA Irish Pipes and Drums return to Barberton this Saturday
Once again, the streets of Barberton will be filled with the thrilling sounds of the Pipes and Drums of the SA Irish. The band has not missed this annual trip to Barberton for the rededication of their plaque at the Garden of Remembrance since their first trip in 1971 and your support for this very special 51st Anniversary Parade would be appreciated.
DATE: 27 August 2022
TIME: 10h15 for 10h45
PLACE: March starts at Barberton Museum, Pilgrim Street
From the museum, the band will march along Crown Street, turn right into General where they will be joined by local and other Veterans, and then proceed to the Cenotaph in De Villiers Street. Thereafter, they will continue to the Lone Tree Shellhole where they will dismiss. (Get to the start, the finish, or follow the band, but be sure to get there!!!)

This will comprise a short commemoration service, Last Post and a Drumhead Service and once again we will hear the thrilling sounds of the SA Irish Pipes and Drums. Veterans will also be in attendance.
