From police station to hospital to court to shelter to recovery—GRIP was there and is still there at every step, at 17 sites (police stations, hospitals, courts & shelters), over 25 years of unbroken service in Mpumalanga and disturbingly over 60% of the survivors are under 18 years old. There are 120 rape cases reported per day (the real number is likely much higher).     1 in 3 Girls experience sexual violence before the age of 18.  And another shocker…48 child rape cases are reported per day on average.
