More safety interventions deployed

We have finalized the contract of the extra patrols that will be implemented for 12 months, and will now submit the paperwork to secure the funding. Meanwhile the same measures will be implemented as during Easter to ensure regular patrols by police, K-9, Traffic Police and Private Patrols.  Community in Blue and Traditional  Police will also be deployed this week.  SAPS has    deployed 160 additional members from all around the province to be based here for a few weeks to provide more visible policing.  Thank you to all who are helping.
