Mbombela Local Municipality has to comply with the Constitution of South Africa to ensure that Mbombela fulfills its vision and mission. Constitution Mandate The constitutional mandate that the Constitution gives to Mbombela Local Municipality is to: Provide democratic and accountable government to the community of Mbombela; Ensure that the provision of services to the community of Mbombela is in a sustainable manner; Promote social and economic development; Promote a safe and healthy environment; and Encourage the involvement of the community of and community organizations of Mbombela in the matters of the Municipality. To achieve the above the following vision and mission statement was formulated and adopted.
