KLCBT’s first Networking breakfast of 2017 – A phenomenal success
The first breakfast for the year kicked off with a bang.
The breakfast was well received. It was about relationship building, participation and delivering value add to consumers.
The attendees had color cards under their plates and needed
to change seats to a specific color card table. That is too meet
potential new clients and maybe you make new friends.
According to Marsland (2016) being cognisant of the trends dominating consumer culture and industry in the next five to 10 years is the key to strategic planning and being prepared for challenges such as the current economic slowdown globally, particularly in the developing world.
Research suggests that an effective way to build consumer trust is through the education of the consumers. An informative piece of communication will go further in the establishment and maintenance of trust than selling the solution to the consumer.
Technology has enabled brands to create convenience and affinity with consumers in innovative new ways. Consumers no longer need to find relevant brand information; instead the brand can now, through the use of Global Positioning Satellites (GPS) and related technologies and applications target and connect with location specific consumers. Thus, consumers’ needs can be analysed and facilitated utilising highly customisable location based applications.
Within the broader concept of consumer trends, innovative efficiencies are driven be means
of continuous and dynamic innovation within the product and service markets. With brands
conscious of the demands expected by consumers and being able to deliver on these demands
without any compromise in brand promise, the efficiencies in the activities are being passed
onto the customers. An example of such a tool is the mobile payment solutions offered to
consumers of SMME business. Both parties reap the reward of instant payment for the delivery
of vocations onsite with minimal administrative issues to content with.
