KLCBT Announces New Board

KLCBT is proud to announce its new board for the next term of 2 years.  After an extensive election process by members, new committees were confirmed.  These committees then proceeded to nominate and elect the new board for the next term.  The board consists of:

1. The immediate past president – Oupa Pilane
2. The chairperson of each of the committees –
   1. Business Chamber – TJ Mare
   1. Regional Tourism Committee – Oupa Pilane
3. The two vice-chairs of each of the committees –
   1. Business Chamber – Sakkie van Rooyen & Ferdi Bijzet
   1. Regional Tourism Committee – Sizile Ndlovu & Denis Goffinet
4. Four non-executive members nominated by each of the committees –
   1. Business Chamber – Norah Fakude, Nick Elliot, Johan Barnard and Naresh Naidoo
   1. Regional Tourism Committee – Hugo Stroud, Sandra Jacobs, Anne Briggs & Monica Mathebula

Congratulations to all the members – we look forward to an exciting two years of rebuilding the organisation and the local economy.

The next phase will be to elect the new president for the next term.  The president is elected by the board and is one of the board members.  The president can only serve one term of 2 years.  The committees have made nominations, but we will have to wait for the first board meeting to see who is the new president!
