Get your PAIA compliance in order before 30 June
Every public and private body is legally required to submit an annual PAIA (Promotion of Access to Information Act) report to the Information Regulator. This obligation applies to your organization regardless of whether you received any information requests during the reporting period.
Private Bodies—The head, such as the CEO or MD, or an authorized deputy information officer must submit the Section 83(4) report.
The annual reporting window closes on 30 June.
Details of all access to information requests your organisation received and processed during the previous financial year.
Submissions must be done digitally. Your information officer must first be registered before you can file the report.
Register / Login: Access the Information Regulator eServices Portal to register your Information Officer.
Review Guidelines: Check the step-by-step submission and registration guides available directly on the Information Regulator PAIA Page online.
This will form part of the checklist for your annual audit as well. Ask your auditor for assistance if you are still unsure about what to do.
