Fruitful first meeting between OSV representatives and KNP

A steering committee consisting of 5 organisations representing the Open Safari Vehicles and officials of the Kruger National Park, had their first quarterly meeting last week.  Last year’s lockdown challenges caused many delays and postponements, but 2022 kicked off with a lot of energy and a long agenda was covered.  Some of the many issues covered were Tax Invoices for OSV Licence fees, possible online       payment for pre-bookings an OSV daily fees, alcoholic beverages to be permitted on OSVs, complaints about gates not complying with the 15 minute early entry, training and refresher courses to be made available online, future plans for traffic congestion, disciplinary action and committee, KNP activity bookings to be made available online, allowance of children under 3.  The OSV representatives have to make written       proposals for the allowance of alcohol and children under 3.  The other issues will be dealt with amongst KNP officials.  As soon as we have decisions and  clarity on any of these issues, we will share it in the newsletter.
