Webinar: Price regulation and other related matters on prices

The Department of Trade, Industry and Competition (the dtic), in partnership with the Competition Commission, National Consumer Commission, and Proudly South African, will host a stakeholder dialogue on Price Regulations and other Related Matters on Prices.

The stakeholder dialogue will feature the following key discussions:

• Price regulations, price hikes, price controls, as well as to outline the regulations that businesses must comply with during the COVID-19 pandemic.

• Government regulations defined as excessive pricing of goods and services.

• Rights of businesses and consumers in relation to unreasonable prices, and the obligations by businesses in complying with consumer law.

• How can consumers report suspected price gouging.
