SA vs the World – an economic analysis by Yolanda Naude

KLCBT hosted with Stabilis and Citadel, another amazing budget speech event.  As always, Yolanda Naude gave us a very interesting talk on global       economic, trends and how SA fits into all of this.       Are we really that bad?  She has listed on her top “to watch” list the         following: 

· Peak global inflation,

· Peak interest rates,

· Peak US  Dollar,

· Unsynchronised global economic activity (slowdown in the West vs recovery in the East),

· De-globalization,

· Rising government debt levels,

· Energy transition,

· Geopolitical tension and

· SA’ economy’s structural hurdles & pace reform progress.
