Renewed warning about phishing attacks
What is a phishing attack? This fraud is used to access your personal information. It is done by email / telephonic request for information or by prompting you to select a link to a fake website.
Examples: Email requests from fraudsters include phrases such as:
You need to log into your account as you have been a victim of fraud; You’ve received money in your account; You need to log into your account to prevent it from being suspended; You have violated terms and conditions…
NEVER click on any links in an email that claim to be from your bank. If you have, always check the URL of the website, if it is a fake website, it will not display as the legitimate URL for your bank’s website with a security lock icon in the address bar. If you are unsure, rather contact your branch or customer service helpline to confirm legitimacy. Especially with phone calls, never provide personal information, tell the caller that you will go to your branch to supply the information, then they usually end the call.
