Proposed policy may allow 5G towers on your property
Rapid Deployment of Electronic Communications Networks (5G)
Minister Stella
Ndabeni-Abrahams has gazetted a new policy on the rapid deployment of
communications networks in South Africa.
This policy proposes that network operators can erect infrastructure on private
land, and property owners cannot charge an access fee and are liable for any
damage to the infrastructure. Our participation campaign opened a week ago and
more than 43,000 submissions have been collated through the Dear South Africa
site so far, from across all nine provinces in the country (closes 21 August).
Linda, not yet participated in the
Communications Deployment (5G) Campaign?
