Mpumalanga Tourism meets Government

MPUMALANGA TOURISM STAKEHOLDERS TO HOST AN URGENT CONSULTATIVE INDABA

Mpumalanga Department of Economic Development and Tourism has recently hosted an engagement with the national minister of Tourism, Ms. Nkhensani Kubayi-Ngubane where the Kruger Lowveld Ehlanzeni presented a petition to her, which amongst other things, the organisations suggested for an improvement in communications and engagement between the private sector and government.

Following those engagements, the Kruger Lowveld Ehlanzeni Tourism, SATSA and the Mpumalanga Tourism and Parks Agency will together with other key tourism industry role players both in the province and nationally, host a Mpumalanga Tourism Stockholders consultative Indaba.

The Indaba is envisaged to discuss tourism safety; tourism transformation and the general state of tourism infrastructure, such as roads, the state attractions and tourism development in general.

The details of the consultative Indaba are as follows:

Date  :         Friday 30 and Saturday 31 August 2019

Both private and public sector are fully committed to the process and are excited to achieve practical, sustainable solutions to all the issues presented.

Several agreements are expected to come out of this Indaba, which will be officially signed on Tourism Day, the 21st September 2019.
