Mitigating the protests around Bushbuckridge and Barberton

For more than two weeks the region has experienced service delivery protests which has led to road closures and restriction of movement.

In the Bushbuckridge Municipality, the R40 (the main north / south tourism and economic route in the Lowveld) has been blocked on numerous occasions, while the town of Barberton is experiencing ongoing protests.

KLCBT has been engaging with senior municipal officials in both Bushbuckridge and Mbombela and has offered assistance in attempting to resolve the issues affecting the communities.

In addition, the Kruger Lowveld Network WhatsApp groups will continue to advise travellers of any road closures in the region.
