Lockdown extended…

As we all probably expected, the lockdown is extended by 2 more weeks until 30 April, which is effectively 3 May, as most of us will return to work on the Monday.

This is a bitter time for businesses, especially in the tourism and entertainment industry.

The tourism industry will not recover immediately after lockdown ends – it will take some time before the international market starts travelling again, when it is considered safe to travel out of their countries and to South Africa.

I would like to call on everyone to think about their next holiday, have it in the Lowveld and prebook now with one of our establishments. Don’t go anywhere else, support our local tourism industry.

With that in mind, please support our local businesses as far as you possibly can in future. Please let us help each other to recover from this as soon as possible.
