Local Economic Development Forum established for City of Mbombela

We welcome the formation of the LED forum for City of Mbombela.  This is part of        compliance for any municipality and has been long overdue.      Initially the council approved the MEDP (Mbombela Economic     Development Partnership) to do double duty as LED forum as well, but we have since agreed this is not appropriate.  The role of the LED forum is for private sector   organisations to give guidance into Local Economic Development strategy, plans, development, budget, etc.  Certainly a step in the right direction.  We are also awaiting the appointment of a new permanent GM of LED and Tourism at the City.
