Launching our own Lowveld Legacy fund to improve security
Since the launch of our Ehlanzeni integrated security project, the safety and security of our district has improved immensely. This project was intended to keep tourist safe, which it has done with great success. The project has many layers. First the Numbi Road was secured successfully, then the number plate recognition cameras were added at strategic places, next we added existing cameras to the network now covering all of our major tourist towns. We need at least 8 more of these cameras which is around R125 000 each to tighten the network even better, especially around Nelspruit. To reach our next level, we need to be able to integrate all the security assets in terms of security companies to respond to triggers on the cameras. For this we need a central dispatch. This will be rolled out with the existing E2 and ROC. We need around R60 000 per month to operate this on a 24-hour basis. We already started the recruiting / training of staff with the help of the ROC centre. After this integration phase, we will start with fundraising for the military grade drones to fly patrols and to react as our dogs in the sky. We are requesting pledges from all businesses or even individuals who also see the necessity of the project. Please send an email to linda@klcbt.co.za with a pledge per month or once-off. You will receive an invoice as indicated. If you wish to receive more information, or interact with Linda personally, you can attend one of our security briefings on 29 January at the Stay Easy boardroom. There will be sessions starting at 10h00, 12h00 and 14h00. Choose any one which is convenient. Let us take the lead once again, as we did with tourism safety! Make it your own!
