KLCBT’s interventions in keeping roads to the Kruger safe

Initially it was the Numbi Gate road that was fairly or unfairly tainted in the  media to such an extend that we had to intervene.  With the help of TOMSA there are permanent patrols and cameras on the road, we also added another camera provided by the Mdluli Trust earlier this year.

When protests broke out on the Kruger Gate road, it was our excellent relationship with the Provincial SAPS that saved the day.  Unfortunately the correct General was on leave at the time, but he responded when I used his personal number and provided Public Order Police to intervene and patrol to ensure the protests do not flare up again. Thank you SAPS!

Finally the Phabeni Gate road saw a hi-jacking which spiked a lot of      concern.  Our excellent victim support programme made sure the affected tourists were taken care of and continued their tour.  Meanwhile we    deployed a private team of investigators and patrols to ensure this stops immediately.  This has yielded really positive results.  We will share more on this when appropriate.

All focus now on fundraising to keep it up.
