KLCBT’s Annual General Meeting
Thank you to all who attended our AGM last week and thank you for all the valuable input.
Prof Mabunda, KLCBT President, outlined the global economic picture and highlighted the many uncertainties our businesses are faced with on a daily basis.
This is why we are a bit stunned and cannot make decisions as easy as before Covid. We are facing a post-Covid world, loadshedding, two wars that are worrying, a massive increase in crime and upcoming elections that will change the face of the world as more than half of the world go to the polls in 2024.
And this is why we invited a Positive Psychologist to make a presentation on the day. We will share more about that in next week’s news.
Our auditor Margaret Raubenheimer from A2A Kopano presented a financial overview and highlighted the need for additional revenue streams for the organization to stay sustainable.
COO Linda Grimbeek gave a brief overview of the organization’s work in 5 highlights per month for the year under review.
It also became clear that we need to somehow find the funds to get our ‘mojo’ back in marketing—fundraising has to take priority.
