KLCBT met with two important new office bearers

During December we had the opportunity to meet the new Executive Mayor of City of Mbombela, Cllr. Sibongile Makhushe during a breakfast hosted by KLCBT.  We also invited all other chambers and    business forums in the area to join us.  Makhushe  patiently heard about all the issues hampering local economic development in the region, and her          response was a very clear “things will change”.  We are very excited to see such a dedicated, energetic person as mayor and we look forward to                 implementation of some restructuring at the City as well as a functioning and well-funded Local          Economic Development department.

Last week, we had the opportunity to meet the new Provincial police commissioner,  Lt Gnl.             Semakaleng    Manamela, who introduced herself as Daphne.  She has been serving in SAPS around here for over 20 years and most certainly know where are the problem areas which need urgent attention.  She is a stickler for    discipline and  action, and wants to restore the honour of SAPS.  We will work well together.
