KLCBT and Mbombela City concludes the Eskom crisis on a positive note

During a meeting with senior management of Mbombela City and KLCBT, the City’s Municipal Manager, Mr Noko Seanego gave their firm undertaking that the Eskom bill will be paid strictly on time in future, to avoid the high amount of interest charged when paid later. The challenge remain that the bill is due on the 15th of every month, while rate payers have 30 days to pay after month end. This leaves the municipality out of pocket for at least 15 days, and that is if everybody paid on time. For this reason we appeal to all our members and rate payers to please pay their bills on time.

KLCBT will meet with the City’s GM’s forum every month in future to discuss collaborations, strategies and economic growth. Business and Government has to work together to make the region flourish.

The KLCBT will host a breakfast in the near future to allow members an audience with the Executive Mayor, where he will share the City’s Vision 2030.
