Feedback from the Maputo Spotlight on Africa Travel Workshop

Kruger Lowveld Tourism’s Nomkhosi Dlamini shares feedback from the Derek Houston Spotlight on Africa Travel Workshop, which was held at Maputo’s Hotel Cardoso on 21 June 2017.

There were 18 exhibitors who interacted with approximately 60 representatives, ranging from tour operators, travel agencies, establishments and various individuals who have an interest in tourism and hospitality.

The interest shown in the Kruger Lowveld was amazing! Great interest was shown in the Blyde River Canyon and various activities in the area.

Although the country is facing economic difficulties, trade in Maputo is optimistic that things are looking up.

Many expatriates choose the Kruger Lowveld (especially the Kruger National Park) as a holiday destination, and operators were glad to know that there is so much more to our beautiful region.

The Z-CARD map and Official Visitor’s Guide to the Kruger Lowveld were very well received and the Kruger Lowveld promotional video was an instant hit.

A very big thank you to Premier Hotel, The Winkler, for sponsoring a two-night stay, dinner bed and breakfast. This wonderful prize was won by Angelina Nahumdla and we look forward to giving her a warm Kruger Lowveld welcome… because… It’s in our nature!
