Elephant Walk Retreat, is situated on the banks of the Crocodile River, just a stone’s throw from the most southern entrance of the Kruger National Park, Crocodile Bridge Gate.

With unrivalled views of the Kruger National Park and the magnificent Crocodile River and its perfectly appointed location, Elephant Walk Retreat is your home away from home.

The property itself has been a family heritage since 1973 and Elephant Walk Retreat lives up to its namesake with huge herds of elephants that frequently visit. An exhilarating experience to be able to safely view these magnificent giants, as they stroll along the fence line.

Accommodation options vary from basic to luxurious self-catering, with 5 log cabins, and 4 chalets, offering a unique experience to all travellers. Ideal for families, friends, or couples,  each one of the nine units boasts beautiful views of Kruger and the Crocodile River.

Incredible wildlife and bird sightings can be viewed from the very comfort of your patio or deck, allowing you to soak up the tranquillity of the African bush, without even having to go out on safari.

Swimming Pool

We offer a large swimming pool and communal relaxation area, behind the units. The pool is filled with crystal clear borehole water and is the ideal spot to spend those warm, sunny Lowveld days while reading a book or sipping on a refreshing beverage.

There is a wide step leading into the swimming pool, which is ideal for the kiddies, and the older folks. Three thatched Lapa areas surround the pool, with comfortable seating.

Please note that children under 12 may not use the swimming pool without adult supervision.

Wi-Fi

Elephant Walk Retreat is the perfect destination to relax, unwind and switch off all electronics, but should you require Wi-Fi, you can visit the reception area of the lodge where you can connect. Wi-Fi is also offered in our luxury suites, Bateleur (8) and Martial Eagle (9).

Shopping & Dining

The nearest town, Komatipoort, is a short 12km drive away for shopping and dining. Let us know if you’d like to dine out. We would be delighted to assist you in making a reservation at one of the local restaurants in town. For a few basic groceries and curios, you can also visit the Park shop at Crocodile Bridge Camp.

Services:

Breakfast Packs

Breakfast Packs can be ordered for R120 per person and includes cereal, milk, a pastry, fruit juice, piece of fruit, coffee, tea, sugar, cremora, knife, spoon and takeaway coffee cup. Must be ordered no later than 3pm the day before.

Cleaning Service

All units are serviced once per day.

Activities and Road Transfers

There is an array of activities that we can assist you with booking. Game drives, bush walks, horse safaris, fishing, and day tours to Maputo, Swaziland, and the Panorama Route. We also book road transfers to/from the KMI (Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport) and Skukuza Airport, and can assist with pre booking for day trips into Kruger.
