Did you know this about “Paternity Leave”?
Currently the Act provides for 3 days’ family responsibility leave for employees to spend time with their new-born babies. Should they require more leave, they have the option to apply for annual leave. However, the 3 days is only applicable to employees who have been employed for at least 4 months and who work at least 4 days a week for the same employer. The act is also not gender-specific, but does not make provision for adoption or surrogacy.
