Childline Mpumalanga ‘116’ celebrates 20 years of service

We can only dish out gratitude and compliments to this amazing charity.  During the past 20 years they have established a well-known call line, post-violence care program, community based violence prevention and linkages to response and awareness campaigns.  If you look at cases on the helpline by far the most are from children uncared for or emotionally traumatized,        followed by children starving or abused.  Emotional and physical abuse reach almost the same numbers, which is a sign of the times.  Strangely enough, most          corporates assume Childline is well-funded as it is so well-known.  This is unfortunately not the case and we appeal to you to keep them on your short-list for support in order for this entity to be sustainable in our province.   Contact Dr Benita Nel at admin@childlinempu.org.za.
