Building a Capable State as No 1 Priority

The National Framework towards the Professionalism in the Public Sector, was recently adopted in parliament and roll-out has already commenced.  It broadly aims that the public sector should be the career of choice for professionals;  appointments will be based on merit (after a pre-entry examination, integrity testing and a competency assessment by an independent panel);  provide a clear vision for next-gen officials;  reproduce specialized skills and address the skills deficit.  It will also be mandatory to belong to a professional body.
