Attend / Give Input to Municipal IDP Consultative Meetings

Attend your Municipal IDP and Budget           Consultative Meetings—This is important!

I cannot over-emphasize this enough!  Your municipality will be           embarking on a public participation process to afford the communities and stakeholders an opportunity to discuss service delivery challenges and raise proposals to be considered in the 6th generation of the         Integrated Development Plan for the 2027-2032 financial years.  Please watch the press for formal advertising of when and where the meetings take place for your ward or your stakeholder group. 

Business Chambers and Tourism Organisations please attend this and come with valid and reasonable proposals or requests.  After this is adopted, you will only be able to make minor adjustments every year.  This is the time to make  real impact—do not miss the opportunity! This is as important as voting!  You cannot expect miracles from your future councillor if you do not provide the groundwork for them to work from. 

Make suggestions of projects / upgrades which will enhance the business sector in your area

We will be attending all the IDP consultations at all the municipalities and give written input—this is very important—All Organisations, please    gather your members and put a  proposal forward. 

Yes, very little may actually come of it due to a lack of funds, but nothing will result in nothing—that is a certainty!
