Airlink reconnects with more destinations

Can you believe that it’s already been over a year since the declaration of the national state of disaster, followed by the level 5 lockdown that resulted in mandatory isolation and the resultant “cabin fever” that brought a heightened appreciation of the “freedom” that we always took for granted? The lockdown forced the closure of airline businesses. Re-starting an airline that took a lifetime to build isn’t easy and getting back to where we were before the pandemic requires commitment, agility, and absolute tenacity – as well as customers keen and ready to maximise their pent-up yearning to travel as soon as restrictions are lifted. We’re making good progress in that direction, adding more flights and re-introducing a number of destinations in April and May. This will help you to get to where you need to be, both within South Africa and across the sub-continent. Come and enjoy the new-found, deeply respected, freedom of the African sky with us!

More flights, more destinations, more travel choices

Airlink will be connecting more cities and countries more often in April and May. Re-introduced routes highlight the importance and popularity of connecting the city to the bush and other Southern African destination gems. Plan ahead now for direct flights between:

  • Cape Town and Maun from 1 May
  • Nelspruit and Livingstone from 1 May
  • Cape Town and Skukuza from 2 May
  • Cape Town and Victoria Falls from 3 May

In addition, customers can look forward to more choices and greater convenience and flexibility in their planning with an increase of frequency in flights between:

  • Johannesburg and Maputo: 3 flights daily from 1 April
  • Johannesburg and Lubumbashi: a daily service from 1 April
  • Johannesburg and Maun: a daily service from 1 May
  • Cape Town and Walvis Bay: a daily service from 1 May
  • Cape Town and Harare: a daily service from 1 May
  • Johannesburg and Mthatha: 3 flights daily from 1 May
  • Johannesburg and Sishen: 2 flights daily from 19 May
