A Farmer makes a Plan
As we speak about agriculture, the CEO of Agri Mpumalanga,     recently made a very insightful presentation at the KLCBT  conference, titled, Farmer makes a Plan.
It looks at the environment of a farmer and specific realities within which the agricultural sector makes a contribution to the economy every day. Some of the key insights are:
Agriculture employs 90 000 workers in Mpumalanga,
The impact of crime costs the sector R15 billion per year nationally,
Other serious considerations are poor road, rail and harbor  infrastructure, climate change, scarce natural resources particularly water and continued competition with the mining sector.Â
They overcome all these and Farmer does not only make one plan, or two or three, but many, daily, they adapt and even prosper…
