A combined “War Room” to tackle beautification issues

The Ehlanzeni District Municipality is leading this       initiative to join all forces to make our city and towns looking great again.  The first meeting was held on  Monday and it is truly a working task team.  City of Mbombela, the District and KLCBT, together with We Care 4 Nelspruit and the newly established Barberton Community Forum were in attendance.  The aim is to work collectively so we do not overlap or miss spots and to apply our scarce resources in the best way possible.  We have talked about where to fix potholes by whom, grass cutting, spraying of round-up on road verges,   illegal dumping and rehabilitation of such sites, parks cleaning, dustbins, street people and of course, illegal student houses.  Everything is map on the RAMS     system map by Ehlanzeni’s chief engineer.  KLCBT will establish a call line in the new year where people can plot potholes and poor road conditions and the location pins will be placed on the map to guide the teams’ to do their work.  We will share more as campaigns roll out.
