Profile
The Alkmaar 4×4 Trail is located in the pristine Schagen Valley at Alkmaar Farmstay. This tranquil farm venue can be found 16km west of Mbombela/Nelspruit and not only provides hiking, bass fishing and kayaking but also has a scenic 4×4 trail. The 7km Alkmaar Trail has a grading of 2-3 and takes approximately two to three hours to complete. There is an obstacle course which consists of natural obstacles to test any driver. The trail is for all 4×4 drivers, with or without any experience and is a must to experience in this serene setting.
- Take N12 towards Witbank;
- Take the N4 towards Nelspruit for 380 km;
- We are situated 16 km west of Nelspruit on the N4 Highway;
- At the Alkmaar/Kwanyoni Lodge sign, turn south on a dirt road and follow the road as you are going towards Kwanyoni Lodge. Just before the lodge you’ll notice the Arlkmaar Farmstay signs and security gate to the left;

- Follow the Alkmaar Farmstay signs.
