Shout out for White River’s Dancing Queens!

Over the course of three sold-out shows in just two days, a Friday matinee and two evening performances, guests enjoyed not only the electrifying entertainment but also a welcome drink and three-course meal at           Picasso’s.  Thanks to the tireless dedication of the performers, the         generosity of the sponsors and the incredible support of the community, the event raised an extraordinary R120 000 for The Power of 8000, a          community action group committed to restoring, rehabilitating and maintaining the town of White River.  The 48 performers, all volunteers and none of them professional dancers brought energy, humour and heart to every number of their rendition of Grease, with 178 hours of rehearsal under their belt!  Thank you ladies, and Tanya from Rhythm Image Dance Studio!
