South Africa named as 4th best country in the world for travel—2025 Telegraph Travel Awards

Not only are we the 4th best in the world, but also the highest-ranked    African nation on the list.  The award cements the country’s reputation as a global tourism powerhouse and marks its continued presence in the top 10 for more than a decade.  The annual awards, voted for by tens of thousands of Telegraph readers, celebrate the world’s most beloved     destinations.  South Africa’s enduring popularity was highlighted by its  diverse and magnetic tourism offerings, from the cosmopolitan charm of Cape Town to the wildlife-rich Kruger National Park, and the scenic Garden Route.   The rankings were from one to ten as follows:  New Zealand, Japan, India, South Africa, Greece, Australia, Peru, The Maldives, Costa Rica and Botswana.

Imagine were we can be if we upgrade our public attractions surrounding the Kruger National Park!  We have the most beautiful scenic attractions and countless possibilities for experiencial travel (adventure, outdoors,  culture).  If only we can move government into a workable arrangement for private sector to develop all of these sites.  We are looking to the new MEC for Economic Development and Tourism, to unlock the potential of the Province together with private sector.
