Prevent roadside Corruption – it kills our tourism industry

We were made aware of two         incidents that happened since        yesterday on major tourism routes whereby tourists are pulled over by traffic cops and asked for spot fines for a bogus (or real) traffic violation.  Please hand out our anti-corruption cards to all your visitors.  We have stock at all our offices, please collect some stock.

The cards provide all the information they need:

“Do not pay cash to a traffic officer or official on the roadside…”

Open a case at SAPS in case of corruption or attempted corruption and inform us—we will follow up and ensure the case is investigated.  This initiative previously led to the arrest and/or   dismissal of 15 corrupt officials. Stop this again!
