Sabie is one of South Africa’s best – mountain biking destinations in South Africa. Whether you’re competing or the occasional mountain biker, there are a wide range of well marked, self-guided mountain bike trails for everyone.

Sabie is the perfect hub for an off-road cycling holiday, from competitive riders consolidating their training to families with little fledgling cyclists. The self-guided routes all start and finish Castle Rock in Sabie and traverse the Ceylon and surrounding plantations. With beautiful surroundings, you have to give it a try!

Black Route

Distance- 13km

Ascent- 270m

Description- Difficult, extreme fitness and bike technical skills required

Duration- 50mins- 1hr 45 mins

Yellow Route

Distance- 6km

Ascent- 50m

Description- Best for beginners and children. Minimal fitness and bike skills required.

Duration- 30mins – 1hr
