Exciting future projects for TRAC N4

TRAC N4 CEO, Alex van Niekerk, shared some exciting plans for future projects in and through our region.  Included is a Schoemanskloof upgrade with substantial passing lanes, Montrose interchange and road to Alkmaar upgraded to 4-lanes, Mara to Kaapmuiden upgrade to 4-lanes, upgrade of Km7 to facilitate holding area for trucks for more efficient border crossing.  In Mozambique they also plan improvements on KM4 and Ressano Garcia to Matola River plus a screener lane at Pessene Load Control.  There are a lot of interesting facts in his presentation and it took us back to where the road began in some places barely a singe-track gravel road, now our wonderfully efficient and well-maintained N4 which links trade and tourism between Mozambique and Mpumalanga.
