Amnesty period for expired gun licences end 31 January 2021

All gun owners with expired gun licences have until 31 January 2021 to apply for amnesty at SAPS.  You will be required to complete an amnesty application (so you are not prosecuted .  You will be asked to hand in your firearm as well as ammunition and complete a surrender of firearm and forfeiture of firearm form.  Firearms will all undergo forensic testing before they are returned.  You will have two weeks from date of application of amnesty, to apply for renewal of your licence.
