KLT is visiting different areas in the region, on different days, to provide attendees with an update on tourism in the Kruger Lowveld Ehlanzeni region; create a master vision for the region; develop tourism to benefit all; and discuss the alignment of local tourism organisations with municipalities and the role of information offices in emerging areas. Kruger Lowveld off to Europe again to promote the region
Kruger Lowveld Tourism has been selected by South African Tourism to promote the region, firstly on a roadshow to the Nordic countries in October and then at SAT School in the UK and Ireland in November. Our Nordic trip, where we will form part of a group of products from the Kruger Lowveld region, will take place from 16 to 25 October. We will visit six cities, in four countries, and will have the opportunity to provide training and engage in speed networking sessions with representatives from the Scandinavian tourism industry. This will be the third year we will be promoting the Kruger Lowveld in the Nordic countries and we have seen a growth in interest from this region as a result. We are also fortunate to have been invited by South African Tourism UK to join SAT School from 12 to 16 November, where we will have the opportunity to promote the region to tourism professionals during full-day sessions in five cities, over five days. Kruger Lowveld last participated in a UK roadshow in February 2016 and this will give us a unique opportunity to showcase the region again, in some different cities this time, to one of our main supplier markets.
SA National Parks Week 2018
South African National Parks (SANParks) will host its 13th annual Parks Week from 10 to 14 September 2018. This initiative, in partnership with Total South Africa and FNB, is in line with SANParks’ vision statement of ‘A sustainable National Park System Connecting Society’. The week grants free access to most of the 21 national parks for day visitors, especially people from the local communities. Free access does not include free access to accommodation facilities and other tourist activities. Click here for details of participating parks.
