The Mpumalanga Tourism and Parks Agency (MTPA) will, with effect from 1 November 2017, implement an increase in its tariffs (including the entry and accommodation fees) at its various nature reserves around the province.
This increase will go a long way in addressing some of the infrastructure maintenance challenges experienced over a period of time.
Its intention is to improve its facilities and the viewpoints at all of its main nature reserves to provide visitors with the best possible experience.
The MTPA is committed to ensuring that all visitors enjoy a comfortable, safe and unforgettable experience at all of its facilities, hence the need to review its tariffs to ensure proper maintenance and upkeep of the nature reserves.
All tariffs will be adjusted upwards, by a small margin, and will continue to be charged in South African Rand. These tariffs will be reviewed annually, guided generally by inflationary pressures and the MTPA will continue to inform the public of changes.
